About Me
I’m Alexandra, an artist shaped by movement, culture, and a deep connection to the natural world. I was born in Switzerland and now live in the United States with my family, but my life has carried me across three continents—Europe, North America, and Africa. Living within many different cultures has influenced not only how I see the world, but how I create within it. Those layered experiences are woven into my art, shaping a perspective rooted in both reverence and raw honesty.
Before fully devoting myself to art, I worked as a model, traveling extensively and working in many places around the world. That chapter of my life sharpened my eye for form, detail, and composition, and taught me how presence, structure, and storytelling can exist without words. Those influences remain in my work today, informing how I approach balance, texture, and visual impact.
My art centers on animal skulls, exploring the space between life and death, beauty and decay, strength and fragility. I’m drawn to what remains—the quiet power of bone and the stories carried by form. Each piece is created with deep respect for the animal and an understanding of nature as something both beautiful and unapologetically real.
Outside of the studio, my life is just as grounded and tactile. I raise and breed chickens, tending to daily rhythms that keep me connected to the land and its cycles. I’m also raising two children, teaching them curiosity, resilience, and respect for the natural world that inspires my work. Art, family, and nature are inseparable parts of my life, each influencing the other in meaningful ways.
What I create is a reflection of where I’ve been, how I live, and what I value—a merging of global experience, natural beauty, and a willingness to honor what is often overlooked.
